Our program team is comprised of mentoring volunteers and practitioner partners. The medical practitioners we use include a Bio Balance trained GP and a Bio Balance trained Psychiatrist. Whichever treatment pathway is right for you, we will do our utmost to connect you with the right team of health and support people to meet your needs. Whether that be a Psychologist, Counsellor, Nutritionist, Naturopath, or Personal Trainer, totally depends on what is right for you.

KAT ALEXANDER
CEO & Founder
Kat is an accredited Behavioral Analyst and the CEO and Founder of Exchange Foundation, which she established with an overwhelming passion so see women and their communities restored from the effects of mental illness and the trauma of abuse. She has worked for more than a 15 years in the not-for-profit sector, gaining a broad experience in support roles for addiction rehabilitation, international community development, program administration, fundraising and event management. Kat has also held roles in the leadership of church-based women's programs. She has commercial background in advertising and graphic design. Kat’s passion for bringing practical solutions to a needy world combined with her creative genius, uniquely position her to bring solution to women in crisis. Kat has a Bachelor of Arts degree.
MELISSA ROWLANDS
Director
Melissa has a background in high-level business administration in a range of corporate, government and non-profit environments and over 15 years experience in creating financial and operational systems that streamline efficiency and increase capacity. Melissa also coaches and trains creative entrepreneurs and small business leaders, both in Australia and internationally, to achieve their goals. She has experience in advocacy and speaking, writing, corporate sponsorship, public relations and event management along with a passion for social justice. Melissa has a BA in Political and International Studies, a Cert IV in Small Business Management, and a Diploma in Christian Ministry and Biblical Studies.
REGINA HEFFERNAN
Director
Regina is the founder and director of Smart Solutions Rehab Group, on the Sunshine Coast of Australia. She has had a passion for community work since early on in her practising career and has worked as a private practitioner in some capacity for over 15 years. Regina graduated from the University of Queensland in 1997 and gained early experience as an OT working in a number of rural locations in a variety of hospital and community health settings. Regina relocated to the Sunshine Coast in 2003 for an employment opportunity in line with her love for people and passion to see individuals live happy and full lives. This led Regina to completing an Advanced Diploma in Counselling and Family Therapy in 2006 to support her existing clinical skills. Regina holds a B.Occ Thy, Adv Dip Counselling.
JESS BELL
Board Secretary
Jess is the Secretary to the Board at Exchange Foundation. Jess's extensive experience in medical care as a practising Registered Nurse and Wellness Consultant, along with her passion to see people restored to health, make her an essential team member of Exchange Foundation. Jess is passionate about seeing the community around her thrive and achieve their wellness goals. Alongside her work in the Emergency Department at hospital, she also runs wellness classes in the community and consults with clients one on one. Jess holds a Bachelor of Health Science in Nursing.
